Jukola

Jukola – the biggest orienteering event in the world which attracts thousands of participants from all over the world. This event has two parts: day part and night. At the day time all woman participate in Venla relay which is 4 legs long. Night part is called Jukola which is mostly men’s relay which covers seven legs – all from the evening till the next morning. SK Igtisa started participating in Jukola in 2008 at that time having only one team till now: 2 men’s and 1 women’s teams. From 2008 this event appeared to be biggest club’s start in the season.

2008  Tampere – 114th place

2009  Mikkeli – Igtisa 1 – 38th place, Igtisa 2 – 135th place

2010  Kytaja – Igtisa 1 -50th place, Igtisa 2 – 119th place, Venla Igtisa – 27th place

2011  Salpa – Igtisa 1 – 21st place, Igtisa 2 – 128th place, Venla Igtisa – 14th place

2012   Valio – Igtisa 1 – 32nd place, Igtisa 2 – 101st place, Venla Igtisa – 29th place

2013  Jamsa – Igtisa 1 – 33rd place, Igtisa 2 – 113th place, Venla Igtisa – 14th place

2014  Kuopio – Igtisa 1 – 29th place, Igtisa 2 – 130th place, Venla Igtisa – 13th place
